We represent the convergence of three distinct security legacies and one digital innovator—each with decades of proven excellence, now working together to deliver comprehensive protection and operational transformation.
Our companies have collectively served Malaysia for over 100 years. One of our companies has protected the nation since 1980, bringing military-trained elite forces and specialized capabilities including K-9 units and Cash in Transit. Another, founded in 1984, carries forward a distinguished police heritage with former senior Royal Malaysian Police officers leading armed and unarmed guarding services nationwide. A third has been at the forefront of advanced security technology since 2005, delivering AI-powered surveillance, facial recognition, and 24/7 Integrated Operations Centre monitoring.
In 2025, we launched ARES (Automated Resources), an AI-powered workforce digitalization platform that transforms how security companies and other people-intensive businesses manage their operations—bringing our group full circle from physical protection to digital innovation.

Tony Hong
Chairman
Tony Hong is the founder and driving force behind ARES (Automated Resources), an AI-powered workforce digitalization platform. As Chairman of Novus Group, he provides strategic vision and leadership across the group's diverse portfolio of security and technology companies.
With deep expertise in business transformation and digital innovation, Tony leads the group's mission to unify traditional security excellence with cutting-edge workforce technology. His entrepreneurial vision and commitment to innovation position Novus Group at the forefront of Malaysia's evolving security and technology landscape.
He is a graduate of the National University of Singapore, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Systems awarded with Merit.
Major (Retired) Lian Eng Ming
Director
Major (Retired) Lian Eng Ming brings nearly 30 years of distinguished service with the Malaysian Armed Forces, where he held various leadership roles including Unit Commander, Staff Officer, and Instructor. He also served as a Military Observer with the United Nations Transitional Authority in East Timor (UNTAET) and was awarded the Excellent Service Award in 1996 and 2003.
Since 2005, Major Lian has been instrumental in building and leading one of the group's premier security companies, serving as Chief Executive Officer since 2019. His military discipline, operational expertise, and strategic leadership ensure that Novus Group's security solutions maintain the highest standards of excellence.
He holds an Advanced Diploma in Business and Administration (Swansea) and attended the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College.
Samsudin Bin Ahmad
Director
Samsudin Bin Ahmad has over 30 years of experience in the security industry, beginning his career with the Singapore Police Force as an Inspector in 1991 before joining Certis CISCO Security Pte Ltd (Certis) from 1993 to 2020. During his 28 years with Certis, he held various senior appointments as Vice President and was responsible for managing Certis Malaysia.
As Director of Novus Group, Samsudin provides unparalleled expertise in security technology integration and operations, guiding the group's advanced security systems division. His deep understanding of both government and commercial security requirements ensures that Novus Group delivers world-class solutions trusted by Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.
He graduated from Ottawa University, USA in Business Administration and holds a Diploma in Police Studies and Security Management from Singapore.
Dewi Rosmiza Binti Radin Roslan

With over 20 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, Dewi Rosmiza brings deep expertise in cost management, inventory control, and process automation to Novus Group. Her proven track record in driving operational efficiency and commercial excellence has been instrumental in strengthening the group's corporate foundation.
